On the Slope

8" x 8"
Oil on Canvas

This painting is for Day 22 of Leslie Saeta's painting challenge.  I am a day late today.  I had a show to do yesterday and thought I would get a chance to do some painting but it was busier than I thought it would be.  I sold some paintings, met some new people, and listened to some great music.  It was a little cool yesterday but it did turn out to be a great show.  Now I have to paint one for today.

Refelctions of Cherries

8" x 8"
Oil on Gessoboard

It is Friday the 13th today and day 13 of Leslie Saeta's 30 in 30.  I was happy with this painting.  I think I will do a bit of glazing once it dries to give it some more depth.  I love painting this type of tablecloth, gives it some interest.

Peartini

8" x 8"
Oil on Gallery Depth Cradled Wood Panel

This is Day 4 of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge.  I just love to see everyone's work each day.  I finished this earlier in the day than the others and it feels good to accomplish that.  Now I will use the rest of the day to work on larger paintings.

Crock and Pears

8" x 8"
Oil on Gallery Depth Cradled Board

This is painting number 3 in Leslie Saeta's 30 in 30 painting challenge.  I have been going through storage boxes trying to clean out for future downsizing.  My husband and I loved to go through antique stores and through the years we have accumulated many items.  We are starting to sort through what we want to keep.  I have come across many items to use in still life paintings and will be using them over the next month.

Tea with Lemon

8" x 8"
Oil on Gessoboard

NFS

This is Day 21 of Leslie Saeta's painting challenge.  This was a frustrating painting and I don't think I was happy with it at any point.  That is why it is not for sale.  Usually at some point in a painting I will really like it and it takes off from there, not with this one.  It is one I probably would have liked to work with some glazing but you can't do that in a couple of hours.  So I may go back at some point and work on it.  I had to post it because that is my painting for the day, I guess you have to take the good with the bad and not everyday will be a good painting day!

Golden Bloom

8" x 8"
Oil on Gallery Canvas

I have painted a number of sunflowers in pastel which I find very easy to work with.  I found I had trouble with the yellows in oil, but I was happy with the outcome.

I painted this for a small works juried show.  I had the wrong date for the deadline for entry and missed it by a few days, so here it is.

Angry Baby Bird

8" x 8"
Oil on Board

Sold

I was taking photos of boats and these birds were sitting on the dock.  I have posted the reference photo below.  This baby was looking right at me looking so angry and it makes me smile when I look at that photo so I just had to paint him.
